Get Ready for Medicine
Suitable for ages 15 or above
On Specialist courses, students from the age of 15 are introduced to different ways of learning and focus on specialist areas to help them prepare for their future studies. Students can choose to participate in our specialist weeks:
The Academic Summer medicine programme is an intensive two-week course, tailor-made for students who want to study medicine. Our interactive and innovative program is designed and led by UK medical students who can share and advise from their own personal experiences.

A First Aid course leading to a qualification

Visit to medical institutions e.g. hospitals, GPs and medical research facilities

Teamwork, leadership, communication and problem-solving workshops

Medical ethics and clinical scenarios

Clinical workshop with a doctor

Biology and Chemistry practicals including a heart dissection - Personal statement and interview practice / UKCAT (UK Clinical Aptitude Test) and BMAT (BioMedical Admissions Test) Practice
